CYS looking for Mid-Level Structural Engineers. In this role, you will work independently on smaller projects, and as a team member on larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Structural Engineer. As a Mid-Level Engineer, you will evaluate, select and specify engineered systems and/or products for a project. Mid-Level Structural Engineers will:
- Work within project scope, budgets and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget and at a high level of client service.
- Independently complete calculations and drawings for small projects.
- Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
- Develop job specific discipline specifications independently for less complex projects.
- Work with and coordinate with other project related disciplines for coordination of the project.
- Independently perform Construction Administration duties including field observation reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews and evaluating contractor change orders.
- Assist with development of design standards.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Professional Engineering license is required, Structural preferred
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to a diverse audience of Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively
- Experience with modeling software (CAD, Revit)
- Experience with general business and industry software (Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam) and industry standard Structural Engineering software (SAP, E TABS, RAM, etc.)
