CYS’ extensive criminal justice experience has involved a diverse range of projects including detention centers, correctional complexes, medical/psychiatric inmates, juvenile detention centers and police and sheriff’s law enforcement centers.
We have over 25 years of experience providing both structural engineering and plan check/peer review services to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). CYS provided both project management and structural design consulting services on one of the area’s most successful criminal justice facilities, the California State Prison — Madera County II Women’s Prison. Combining our hands-on design and review experience of correctional facilities and the successful completion of the project management of a major CDCR prison project, CYS is uniquely aware of the regulations and procedures of correctional facility construction.
