CYS was one of only eight structural engineers statewide selected to perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 evaluations on buildings containing court facilities for seismic safety, in preparation for the possible transfer of responsibility to the State. The evaluations were based on the risk acceptability method and criteria developed by the Department of General Services (DGS) and FEMA 310 guidelines. CYS evaluated 26 facilities.
