CYS has had an ongoing relationship with Marshall Hospital since 1988 when we performed structural engineering services for a major remodeling of the existing 14,200 sq. ft. multi-level structure. Subsequent remodeling projects continue to fill out the present and future needs of the hospital.
In 1996, CYS undertook an investigation of the hospital to assess the existing lateral strength of the hospital per Senate Bill 1953. The initial effort of this investigation was the evaluation of the 1958 building to assist the hospital in making long-range planning decisions, while waiting for the release of the report format for SB1953 reports by OSHPD. Subsequently, we completed these efforts to include the entire hospital campus involving 1988, 1971 and 1974 construction.
